LOST/FOUND and needing to be RE-HOMED pet resources
If you have found a stray, prior to calling for animal control or dropping off the animal at the shelter, please follow these resources including checking with others in the neighborhood to see if you can locate the animal's owner, posting on social media, and scanning the animal for a microchip. Most animals at large are still quite close to home. Once they leave the area they are found, their chances of being reunited with owners decreases significantly.
Scan the found animal for a microchip.
